The dairy industry is now eligible for a $6 million grant program, aiming to help farmers following last year’s fires.
The Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund is just one part of a $16 million program set to be rolled out over the next five years.
The money will allow for research into farming practices in an industry which contributes around $600-million a year to the state’s economy.
