ARMIDALE COUNCIL OPTS TO REVISIT NEW HYDROTHERAPY POOL

Armidale Regional Council is revisiting its options for a new hydrotherapy pool.

The project was abandoned after former administator Viv May called it “financially non-viable.”

Mayor Ian Tiley says it would help residents who currently have to travel to Tamworth for hydrotherapy.

Council is investigating if there’s a business case to be made.

“We’re seeking support from state and feds to do some studies on the needs, the size of the facility and do some capital and operational costings.”

It’s in talks with the state government for funding.
