The Newcastle Show will go ahead this year, with no cap on crowd numbers.
Organisers say the event will be able to go ahead safely, under current health restrictions.
Those attending will still have to adhere to the two-square metre rule, from March 5-7.
It comes after Cessnock cancelled its 2021 show.
The board of Maitland Showground will meet tonight, to make a decision on whether its show will go ahead.
