8 POLICE OFFICERS FOR MOREE
The New South Wales Police force has put forward their solution for the staffing crisis at the Moree station.
Following another meeting today, management agreed to provide seven full time officers and a domestic violence officer to address roster issues.
Union representative, Robert Dunn, says the general duties officers have already been working at the station on a temporary basis, and they want one more.
He says the result we’re trying to achieve is two trucks that are fully manned all hours of every day. The situation at the moment is that they’re not fully manned.
The proposal to secure another officer will be put to the Barwon Commander next week.
