FACTORY DESTROYED BY FIRE AT MAYFIELD
Dozens of workers had to be evacuated from a factory at Mayfield this morning, after it caught fire.
Fire crews were called to Frith Street just after 12am to find the building well alight.
When they arrived, they found a hydraulic line from machinery had burst and ignited, causing several fires in the building, which spread to the control room of the factory.
Dozens of firefighters battled the blaze for some time, but eventually contained it just before 4am.
Forty people were evacuated from the building, with one treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
