A 19-year-old man accused of bashing a Tanilba Bay man earlier this month will face further charges, after the victim died yesterday.
56-year-old Colin Sheppard was attacked while walking home from the Tilligerry RSL Sports Club on October 11.
He had been in hospital since the assault, but failed to come out of a drug induced coma.
Police say his life support was switched off on Monday.
The alleged attacker will have his charge upgraded to either murder or manslaughter when he appears in Mudgee Court on November 11.
