TAMWORTH’S BRAND-NEW FIRE STATION ON TRACK FOR JULY COMPLETION

Construction will wrap on Tamworth’s $5.3-million fire station on July 1, with fire crews to make the transition to the new facility by the end of the month.

The state-of-the-art project features four engine bays, iconic red roller doors and modern accommodation for crew members.

It’s been in the pipeline for three years now and taken just eight months to build.

Fire and Rescue New South Wales was set to hold a grand opening, but it’s had to be postponed due to the pandemic.

It’s understood a celebration will instead be held in August.
