LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS OFFICIALLY POSTPONED TO 2021

Locals will head to the polling booths on September 4 next year to vote for their new councils.

Local Government Minister Shelley Hancock made the announcement yesterday, after postponing elections by 12 months due to COVID-19.

The 20-21 election date now means councils will run a five year term with the successive term only running for 3 years.
