A train has derailed near Murrurundi overnight.
The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has confirmed that just before 8 o’clock the north-bound train derailed between Ardglen and Kankool just outside of Murrurundi.
An ARTC spokesperson says emergency services and the ARTC have quarantined the site until safety investigators can attend.
All rail traffic has been stopped between Ardglen and Kankool until further notice.
The ARTC understands the train crew are safe and underwent a medical assessment as a precaution.
