Northern New South Wales Health District has recorded another COVID-19 case today, bringing the total number in District to 38.
That number has doubled since this time last week.
Chief Executive of the Northern NSW Local Health District Wayne Jones says we should expect numbers to continue to increase over the coming days and weeks.
“We’re anticipating these numbers to rise and any slight reduction we’ve seen over the trend of the last three days should not be seen as anything other than a slight reduction in the trend over the last three days,” Jones said.
There are five cases in Lismore, eight in Byron, and eleven in the Tweed.
There are between one and four cases in both Ballina and Tenterfield.
