Emergency services responded to an accident involving two cars at Tomago this afternoon.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter arrived at Tomago Road just after 1pm, and helped rescue 32-year-old man trapped in one of the cars.
The man was treated at the scene, before being transported to John Hunter Hospital. His injuries and condition are unknown.
Tomago Road is closed in both directions, while traffic is diverted to Masonite Road and the Pacific Highway.
