Police will address the media in Tamworth this afternoon, after a man was arrested over several alleged carjacking offences last night.
Following an unrelated pursuit, officers were patrolling Tamworth just before 5pm on Wednesday when they saw a black Holden Captiva allegedly being dangerously driven in Edgeroy Street.
The driver allegedly crashed into a parked car, ran off and allegedly attempted to steal a parked motorbike.
Police arrested a 37 year old man, who was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Three officers were injured during the arrest.
