A man in his late 50s is fighting for life in hospital after a serious crash in the state’s north.
Emergency services were called to Limpinwood Road at Tyalgum, west of Murwillumbah at around midday on Saturday, after reports a motorcycle had crashed into a tree.
The rider, a 59-year-old man was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital suffering critical head injuries.
His passenger, a 57-year-old woman, was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for treatment.
Investigations are ongoing.
