Relief is on the way for the town of Guyra next week, when the long-awaited Malpas Dam pipeline is activated.
The $13-million project, funded by the state government, connects the dam’s supply to Guyra’s water treatment facility.
And with Guyra quickly running out of water, the announcement couldn’t come soon enough.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall will join council members for the pipeline’s official opening on Tuesday.
