Firefighters have made a horrific discovery at Guyra, with a body found in the bedroom of a burnt out home.
Crews were called to the address on the New England Highway at around 4 o’clock on Friday afternoon, when they found the home well alight.
Once extinguished, the body, believed to be that of a 60-year-old man, was located inside.
Investigations into what caused the blaze are ongoing.
