WOMAN CHARGED OVER NEW ENGLAND HIGHWAY CRASH
A woman’s been charged over a crash which left a 69-year-old man with multiple fractures.
Police will allege the 34-year-old was driving a Holden Commodore along the New England Highway near Bendemeer on June 13, when the vehicle left the road and hit an embankment.
The older man, who was a passenger in the car, was freed by emergency services and taken to hospital with fractures to his ribs and right wrist.
The woman was unharmed.
She’ll face a number of charges including cause bodily harm and dangerous driving at Tamworth Local Court in September.
