An investigation has been launched into the alleged murder of a prisoner at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre.
52-year-old Geoffrey Fardell was found dead in his cell on June 11.
It’s understood he’d been transferred from Grafton jail to Kempsey that same day, after threats were made against him.
Corrective Services says every aspect of the incident will be thoroughly reviewed.
