The mother of a newborn baby, which was found dead in a Newcastle backyard earlier this week, has been found alive.
Officers spoke with the 18-year-old at Penrith in Sydney’s west, after the infant’s body was found in the backyard of a Stockton home on Tuesday.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing, although police have ruled out the involvement of a third party.
