A man has been refused bail after police allegedly found drugs, unauthorised firearms and cash inside his car in the Hunter region on Tuesday.
Officers stopped a Hyundai sedan at around 12:50am and searched the vehicle, finding a bag allegedly containing ice, $1800 in cash and weapons including knuckledusters, a knife and a gun.
The 38-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with a string of offences, including possession of an unauthorised pistol and supplying a prohibited drug.
He’ll front Raymond Terrace Local Court next month.
