Tributes are flowing after the death of former Maitland MP, Milton Morris.
Affectionately known as ‘Mr Maitland,’ he served from 1956 to 1980 as the local member, and had a 10-year stint as the Transport Minister.
Respected on both sides of politics, he was credited with introducing significant road safety improvements.
Mr. Morris was a tireless advocate for the community, and instrumental in the development of the Hunter Valley Training Company.
He was 94.
