TAREE MAN CHARGED OVER POSSESSION OF ALLEGED CHILD ABUSE MATERIAL
A Taree man remains in custody, charged over the possession of alleged child abuse material.
The 21-year-old is accused of a number of offences, including using a child under 14-years of age to make child abuse material.
Police were first alerted to the alleged online activities of the man late last year, with the 21-year-old arrested on Tuesday.
Officers also executed a search at a home on Short Street at Taree, locating a replica pistol, along with a number of NSW Police items.
At the time he was granted conditional bail, before he was again arrested on Thursday following further examination of his phone.
He faced Forster Local Court earlier today, where he was refused bail.
