SES volunteers are working round the clock to get through nearly 210 outstanding jobs in the Tamworth and Narrabri areas, following Thursday night’s ferocious storm.
The organisation says around 80% of calls for help have now been answered – trees and unsecured objects causing plenty of damage across the region.
Tamworth crews are being assisted by their Gunnedah and Armidale colleagues.
Fire and Rescue and RFS volunteers from as far away as Glen Innes, are also lending a helping hand.
