COURT TOLD TRIAL OF SAYLE NEWSON COULD TAKE AS LONG AS THREE MONTHS

A court has heard the trial of Sayle Newson, the man accused of murdering Hunter mother, Carly McBride, could take as long as three months.

Newson formally denied the charge in Sydney Supreme Court on Friday.

Police allege the 40-year-old killed Ms McBride in 2014, and dumped her body in bushland near Scone.

Newson’s trial will be held in Newcastle, and begin in May.
