ACCUSED MURDERER TO APPEAL DECISION AT HIGH COURT

Garry Steven Davis – the Newcastle man who murdered two elderly nursing home residents has failed to have his convictions overturned.

31-year-old Davis is currently serving a minimum 30-year jail term, after being found guilty of murdering 83-year-old Gwen Fowler and 80-year-old Ryan Kelly, along with the manslaughter of 91-year-old Audrey Manuel at a Wallsend aged care facility in 2013.

His legal team argued the trial judge didn’t consider all available evidence during his trial.

Davis will now consider appealing to the High Court.
