BOLT BOUND FOR THE CENTRAL COAST MARINERS

Eight-time Olympic gold-medallist and the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, is officially bound for the Central Coast Mariners.

The club confirming late today, that the Jamaican runner has committed to an indefinite training period, with the aim to develop into a professional footballer.

The agreement between the Mariners and Bolt doesn’t guarantee him a professional playing contract post training period.

Bolt says he’s very excited to head to the yellow-and-navy HQ:

“It has been my dream to play professional football and I know that it will involve a lot of hard work and training to get to the level required to play and make an impact in the A-League.”

Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp will provide more details about the deal tomorrow from the Mariners Centre of Excellence at Tuggerah.
