They may be going through some tough times themselves, but that didn’t stop the region’s cattle producers lending a helping hand.
Today was the seventh annual Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service ‘Tag A Calf’ at Tamworth sale yards, where farmers can donate a calf, or part of the proceeds from their sale.
The event is held in conjunction with the Tamworth Livestock Selling Agents Association, with around 3000 head-of-cattle going through today’s sale.
