GLOUCESTER GROUNDSWELL TO HAVE THEIR SAY ON THE FUTURE OF THE ROCKY HILL COAL MINE
Gloucester Groundswell has been given the green light by the Land and Environment Court to participate in legal proceedings regarding the future of the controversial Rocky Hill coal mine at Gloucester.
Gloucester Resources Limited is appealing a decision by the New South Wales Planning Assessment Commission, that the mine is not in the public interest and could further harm the town.
During a hearing last Friday, GRL strongly opposed the lobby group’s application to have its say.
Gloucester Groundswell says it’s pleased to play a key role in the next step of what’s been a been a 12-year battle.
