THREE CHARGED FOLLOWING NORTH COAST POLICE SEARCH

Three people have been charged with firearm and drugs offences following a police search at Kingscliff, on the New South Wales North Coast.

Police searched a Moss Street address around 6:45pm on Friday, locating a firearm, cash, and drugs believed to be methamphetamine.

A 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested and charged with multiple offences including knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

A 39-year-old ran from the scene before he was arrested during a scuffle with police.

He was charged with multiple offences including resisting arrest and supplying a prohibited drug.

All three were refused bail and will face Tweed Heads Local Court.
