The equine industry rallied behind a worthy cause today, to raise much needed funds for drought affected farmers.
The Newcastle Jockey Club is hoping to raise $25,000 for Rural Aid’s ‘Buy A Bale’ campaign – helping to supply feed and fodder to struggling farmers.
“If you combine Newcastle’s generosity with the reality of what some of the farmers are experiencing then yes, they’re giving in spades and we’re delighted to be facilitating that.”
All the money raised will stay in the Hunter Valley.
