A warning to seafood restaurants on the Central Coast after two Newcastle eateries have allegedly been found in possession of black market lobsters.
Department of Primary Industries officers raided the premises in Newcastle and Adamstown, seizing 45 eastern rock lobsters.
Many were still alive, and were returned to the sea.
It’s illegal to buy or sell lobsters that haven’t been caught and tagged by commercial operators.
