Coffs Coast residents will see an increased police presence on the roads over the coming days.
Operation Northforce commenced today, with eight highway patrol units joining Coffs Clarence Police to crack down on drink and drug driving, mobile phone use, and speeding.
Detective Inspector Darren Jameson, says it’s a step to prevent road trauma and accidents.
“Over the last six months we’ve had 130 injury accidents here in the coffs coast area and that’s a staggering figure so what we’re looking at is trying to reduce those injury accidents.”
