CABBAGE TREE ROAD CANCER CLUSTER DISMISSED
Williamtown residents are furious over study, commissioned by New South Wales Health, dismissing claims of a cancer cluster in the area.
It’s been revealed more than 80 per cent of the survey’s sample population lives outside the PFAS contamination area.
State Labor MP Kate Washington says it shows a total lack of respect to residents.
“Residents effected by the contamination are already at breaking point and this news has only made them more angry, more frustrated, more frightened.”
She’s now looking to the federal government to progress with its studies.
“We want the dots to be connected, we want people to know if there is a connection with these contaminants to the cancers,” said Ms Washington.
