CASH SPLASH FOR WERRIS CREEK POOL
Werris Creek’s pool is set for a makeover with the state government splashing the cash for a serious upgrade.
Almost half-a-million dollars will be spent upgrade the water filtration system, as well as installing new play equipment in the infants pools.
While the amenities block was upgraded last year, this new work will be the first at the pool since the 1960s.
“The Werris Creek swimming pool is a focal point is a central point of activity not only for leisurely activity on the weekends, but also for schools.”
Liverpool Plains Shire Council says work will begin once the pool is closed for the off-season in March.
