Mayor Col Murray says design plans for the project would be completed soon, to ensure the project is shovel ready by next financial year.
“Two lanes right through to Greg Norman Drive and all the associated kerb and gutter and entrances and exits, etc.”
Council has been in talks with local member Kevin Anderson, as well as Roads and Maritime Services.
It’s hoped the project would be completed in the next couple of years.
