TEEN CHARGED FOLLOWING LISMORE SEXUAL ASSAULT
A teenage boy will face court today, accused of stabbing and sexually assaulting a woman at Lismore over the weekend.
According to police, the 43-year-old woke to find the 16-year-old in her house in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It’s alleged he then threatened the woman with a knife and sexually assaulted her.
Police say the teenager fled after her screams alerted neighbours.
She was treated by paramedics for a stab wound to her back, facial injuries and lacerations to her hands and arms.
The 16-year-old was arrested at an address at Coraki last night, and later charged with several offences including wounding a person with the intent to murder and aggravated sexual assault.
