DUMARESQ DAM IN LINE FOR MAJOR UPGRADE
Dumaresq Dam’s recreational area could be in line for a multi-million dollar overhaul, with Armidale Regional Council set to apply for $1.5-million in funding from the federal government.
If approved, the upgrade would see holiday cabins built and camping facilities restored.
A bird watching platform, as well as hiking trails and a mountain bike track would also be installed, in a bid to capture the eco-tourism market.
Council would also contribute $1.5-million to the project.
