ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR TARGETED IN MOREE POLICE OPERATION

An ongoing high-visibility police operation in the north-west of the state continues to result in charges being laid for anti-social behaviour.

Operation Claymore 2 was established to focus on traffic, drug, and property crime at identified hotspots in the township of Moree.

As part of the operation, police have conducted roving patrols, licensed premises inspections, random breath tests, bail compliance checks, and visits to high risk offenders.

A 46-year-old man was issued with a number of traffic infringement notices after he was identified as the rider of a quad bike in Arunga Street around 6pm yesterday, while a 34-year-old man was charged with driving a motor vehicle during a disqualification period.

A further two motorists were charged with drink driving offences, and one motorist provided a positive roadside drug test, while a further 105 infringement notices were issued

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to anti-social or criminal behaviour to call Crime Stoppers.
