A Sawtell woman has joined the ranks of the state’s Hidden Treasures Honour Roll, which recognises the work of female volunteers.
Stephanie Greacon (pron: greeshion) received the honour today from the Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser for her volunteer work with the RFS, where she is captain of the Red Hill brigade.
The award is among just 103 handed out statewide each year.
“It’s just a real honour, it means that people in the community appreciate the work that everybody does in the RFS and it makes you feel very special and warm inside I guess.”
