MAN KILLED IN LAKE MACQUARIE CRASH

A 26-year-old man believed to be from Morisset has died, after his car left the road and hit a power pole at Bonnells Bay early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Fishery Point Road at around 4am and found the man with critical injuries.

Despite their efforts to help him, he died at the scene.

Ausgrid workers were on site this morning, restoring power to around 800 homes and businesses.
