MAN CHARGED WITH ALLEGED THEFT OF $60,000 WORTH OF JEWELLERY
A 25-year-old man will front a Newcastle court charged with the alleged theft of over $60,000 worth of jewellery.
It comes after a police investigation into multiple stealing offences, in particular the theft of $60,000 worth of rings from a jewellers at Charlestown in September.
The man will face a long list of offences including larceny greater than $15,000, armed with intent and stealing.
He was arrested just before 3pm yesterday at a property on Mcelwee Drive in Tingera Heights.
