A catholic priest, who worked in the Newcastle and Taree areas, is now facing 67 child sex charges, after an extra 37 were filed against him.
66-year-old Father John Sidney Denham is charged with assaulting a male, committing an act of indecency and sexual assault, relating to 31 victims as young as 11.
Police allege the offences took place in Newcastle, Pokolbin, Taree, Wingham and Sydney between 1968 and 1986.
His case has been adjourned to November 12.
