BLACKS KNOCK MEREWETHER OUT OF NHRU RACE

In rugby, and Maitland recorded a convincing 44 to 20 win over Merewether in today’s NHRU elimination final.

With less than 10 minutes left on the clock, the Greens mounted a late bid to stay in it, but the Blacks soon dashed any hope of a resurgence.

Maitland will meet the Wanderers in next weekend’s minor semi.
