LAKE MACQUARIE ATHLETES BOUND FOR LITHUANIA
A group of Lake Macquarie athletes are bound for the International Children’s Games in Lithuania.
The team of 12 track and field athletes will be among 1500 competitors from more than 80 cities competing in Kaunas from 4-9 July.
Lake Macquarie has been a regular participant in the International Children’s Games since 2008 and became the first Australian city to host the event in 2014.
The team is managed by the Hunter Academy of Sport, and will be accompanied by the Mayor of Lake Macquarie, Councillor Kay Fraser, as Council’s representative.
