Ben Simmons is on track to make his NBA debut for Philadelphia when the 2017/18 season begins in October, but the 76ers have confirmed the former Newcastle junior won’t play in the Summer League.
Simmons took part in the 2016 tournament after becoming the number one draft pick, and went on to be voted one of the top five players.
Unfortunately he then fractured a bone in his foot in September, and sat out the entire NBA season.
