CENTRAL COAST COUNCIL BUDGET WISH LIST
The Central Coast Council will be watching tonight’s Federal Budget closely with roads and jobs funding top of its wish list.
CEO Rob Nobel says council wants more investment in apprenticeships and training to assist the thousands of unemployed youth on the coast.
“On the Central Coast about 15 percent unemployment rate for young people so we would love to see some sort of initiatives from the Federal Budget tonight that will assist,” he said.
It’s hoped roads and drainage works will also be a priority, to help address a backlog of more than $100-million.
