A former RFS volunteer, who deliberately lit two bushfires during extreme heat in Nabiac, will have to wait another week to learn his fate.
Ricky Ballard-Lestrange admitted to sparking the blazes just a few kilometres from his own home on February 13, so his toddler could see a fire truck.
The 32-year-old faced Taree Local Court via video link today, where a Magistrate delayed his sentencing to next Monday, saying he needed more time.
The father-of-4 remains behind bars.
