“We strongly condemn this illegal act perpetrated by vandals on a club which honours our war heroes.

“It’s a shame people who may be opposed to the event have expressed their views by vandalising a building which honours these servicemen and women.

“Supercars Australia supports the Newcastle United Services Club and currently donates to the club in return for using their office space for Newcastle 500 event and engineering staff.

“Club staff have this spent this morning removing the graffiti to restore the heritage listed building to its previous state. Police have been notified and are investigating.”
