TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING CENTRAL COAST PURSUIT

Two people have been arrested, following a pursuit on the Central Coast this morning.

Police spotted the pair, who were both wanted on warrants, in a car heading south on the M1 at Tuggerah Lakes at around 8:30am.

Officers followed the vehicle until the Hawkesbury River Bridge, with PolAir then tracking the car to Flanders Place at Mt Kuring-Gai.

There, a man and a woman got out of the vehicle and allegedly ran from police.

The 38-year-old woman was arrested in the backyard of a nearby home, while a 32-year-old man was tracked down by a police dog and arrested in bushland.

Both were taken to Hornsby Police Station where they’re expected to be charged.
