It’s been a horror 24-hours on Hunter roads with two fatalities in separate incidents.

A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a 19-year-old after a vehicle left Old Maitland Road at Bishops Bridge, about 10km from Maitland, and hit a power pole about 9pm last night.

The male driver from Rutherford died at the scene.

Then around 7:45am today, two sedans collided about 1km east of the intersection of Mitchell Line Road and Range Road in Singleton.

The driver of one of the cars, a 63-year-old man, died at the scene.

Two others were treated by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
