WESTON AND LAKE MACQUARIE SPLIT THE POINTS IN HUNTER NPL

In the Hunter’s NPL competition, Valentine has moved to top spot thanks to a win over the Blues, while Weston and Lake Macquarie shared the points.

Making their return to the top flight, the Roosters opened the scoring thanks to Justin Broadley.

Jake Millsteed got the Bears back on level terms from the penalty spot.

Lake Macquarie was in front again before half time.

Off season recruit Jamie Byrnes earned Weston a valuable point with a cracking strike in the second half.
